Posts: 434 Jan 26 12 5:02 AM	I think a lot of folks are tiring of comics, or at least, tiring of comics from the Big Two. I know there's no longer any Marvel or DC on my pull list, and I say that not only as a fan since 1976, but as someone who has written for both. There's just nothing there for me as a reader or a fan anymore. I grew up with those characters, but at some point (probably right around OMD in Spider-Man) they stopped growing with me. Hard to stay attached when that happens. I do buy a lot of indies though: Avatar, Image, Oni, Boom, Antarctic Press, etc.

I'll be 30 this year, and have been reading comics for more than 20. I'll probably leave this Earth with comics within ten feet of my cooling carcass. But I'm not reading anything from DC, and next to nothing from Marvel...and I read the Big Two (80% Marvel, if not more, with most of the remaining 20% Vertigo) almost exclusively up until about five years ago. Now, I'm all about Image, IDW, Avatar, etc. The Big Two seem so concerned about one-upping each other, it's long since stopped being even mildly entertaining. I do like to catch up with X-Factor and X-Force, but I'm not as rabid about getting them each freakin' month like I do my Walking Dead, Invincible, Locke and Key, etc. I commit bloggery and write scary books.

Posts: 13 Feb 5 12 2:07 PM	Ugh. Well I will keep my fingers crossed for an electronic edition. Maybe I'm oversimplifying it in my head, but with the low overhead cost, and e readers in general gaining in popularity, wouldn't it make sense to give it a shot?

Posts: 36 Feb 7 12 2:13 PM	Well, it it happens, it'd be cool. Probably a little heretical to say, but I think comics were made to be read on tablets. The auto-zoom/page turning adds a new dimension -- you can choose to see only the panels in their designed sequence. More immeresive to me.

Posts: 434 Feb 28 12 6:45 AM	Yeah, with a comic script, you not only have dialogue (and all the other stuff that goes into a story) but also directions for the artist and letterer. It's a LOT of work, but also a LOT of fun.
